Welcome to the Orange Prize Shadow Group blog. We're going to be reading along with the judges as soon as the 2011 Short List is announced on 12th April, and this is where we'll be chronicling our experiences, reviews and reactions as we go.

A quick Google search reveals we're not the only ones doing this! Check out this other dedicated Orange Prize blog, The Orange Prize Project , which  has been going since 2008 and is one of the book challenges started by Farm Lane Books Blog.

We have sent author invitations to everyone in the Warwickshire Super Readers group, and hope that all of you contribute content freely, comment on one another's entries, and suggest links to other useful sites and blogs that you discover.

Our first meeting is Wednesday night, 6th April. Isn't it exciting!
