I found this book easy to read and thought-provoking. It's not a book I would have chosen if browsing in a book shop because the subject matter is sensitive and I tend to steer clear of narratives that I think I might find upsetting. Cowardly, I know... it's the same with seeing starving children on news reports, I just have to turn off.
But this book was well worth reading and I can see why readers would find it uplifting.
