Great House

What an incredibly intense reading experience! There was so much about this book which should not have worked, but I found it a quite fabulously successful novel. Perhaps not a great novel, but still an extraordinary achievement.

I've only just finished reading it, and my head is still buzzing with the ideas, characters and emotions, so I can't put my finger on precisely why I enjoyed the book so much. No doubt a few days of reflection will make thing a little clearer.

Just about to re-read 'Room' and that's me done.

I hope the rest of you are enjoying these six wonderful books as much as I have.
