Racing Along

Hope you have all had a lovely relaxing time over the last two weekends, with plenty of time for reading! You are all racing along ,which is brilliant. Heading for the half-way post now, with the meeting at Kenilworth in two weeks time. I am really enjoying reading your reviews and comments as you go, and look forward to reading at least one of them before the next meeting!
Not to do specifically with this year's Orange, but I have just read the most compelling, awful, gripping and shocking book ever "We need to talk about Kevin" by Lionel Shriver. It's a bit old now, and no doubt some of you have read it. If you haven't, I really recommend it, though take it in small doses... No wonder it won the Orange Prize in 2005!
Those of you who aren't blogging yet---do join in. It doesn't take long to publish a line or two. Would love to hear from you!

  1. I haven't blogged because I haven't read any of the books on the shortlist (except Room, and I can't bear to talk about that one anymore). I have read 'We Need to Talk about Kevin', and I agree with you that is a gripping, awful story. The book brings up the subject of reliable narrator. BUT, this is not the place to talk about that book, I guess.
